Wireless connection in Vista

All most all laptops have wireless feature integrated with the chip set and most of the laptops have windows vista installed in it. More over Microsoft has stopped XP in the market. How do we connect a vista laptop to a wireless network? That’s simple, vista has an option in its start menu and the option is ‘Connect to’, when we click on to it we can see the available networks in range that a laptop can detect and you can connect to your network. But even if the laptop is connected to the network it might not connect to the internet and the main reason could be the anti virus software installed in the laptop. And one main reason could be the windows firewall on the vista operating system, the only solution is to turn off the windows firewall. Some times when we try to connect to a network we get an error message “no networks found in range or make sure the wireless switch is turned on”. In that case make sure the wireless switch on the laptop is turned on.
